FS PTO Update
Dear Field School families,
We hope the first week of school was a happy and smooth one for your family. We wanted to share some helpful information and a few reminders for the week ahead:
Parent Coffee: Dr. Green will be hosting a welcome coffee for parents and guardians this Thursday, September 8 at 9:00am in the Field School cafeteria. A Zoom option will be available for those who are unable to join us in person, and Dr. Green will send that link via email later this week so keep an eye on your inbox. In an effort to be environmentally friendly and to cut down on food waste (you’ll learn more about the Field School Green Club soon!), parent coffees this year will be “BYO” unless otherwise noted. We encourage you to bring your own coffee or tea in a reusable container!
Class Updates: Room Parents have been finalized so you should be hearing from your class’s Room Parents sometime this week. In the coming weeks, they will be creating and distributing class lists. If you did not submit the Google Form with your family’s contact information, they will reach out to you for this information so that they can complete the class list.
Lunch Orders: This year school lunches are available for free for all students. If you would like to order lunch, please do so by 8:00am Monday morning for the entire week. Here is the link to the order form and the lunch menu.

To find student ID #: Sign on to Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Click the “Today” tab on the left-hand side. The student’s name will show, and directly underneath is a 5-digit student ID number. To toggle to another student, click the name on the upper right-hand side of the screen.

Friendly Kids of Weston 4th/5th Grade Play:
Registration for “Shrek JR” opens to all fourth and fifth graders this Wednesday, September 7! Do you love to sing, dance, and perform? Or perhaps you’ve never been on stage but would love to try it out in an encouraging and fun environment? Weston Friendly Society, in collaboration with the Weston Recreation Department and the Weston Public Schools, invites you to join us for a new season of Friendly Kids of Weston, a fourth and fifth grade theatrical experience! This year, we will be presenting “Shrek JR,” an irreverently fun show in which a lovable ogre leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Rehearsals start on November 29, and performances will be in mid-March. Registration opens on Wednesday, September 7 at http://www.westonfriendly.org, where you can also find more information about our program. We expect this program to fill up quickly, so mark your calendars for September 7 so your family can be part of this one-of-a-kind experience!

WEEFC Fall Fundraiser:
Set a reminder: the last batch of tickets for WEEFC’s Fall Fundraiser go on sale here tomorrow (Tuesday, September 6) at 10:00am, and we expect they’ll go fast! This outdoor tented event will take place on Saturday, October 1, from 6:30-10:30pm on the Field School field and will feature food trucks and bar, live music, a silent and live auction, and much more! Follow WEEFC on Instagram @weefcweston for event updates, as well as more information on what WEEFC is doing in our schools.
