Jazz Under the Stars

Mr. Christopher Memoli kicked off the evening by thanking the conductors, school administrators, Weston Friends of Music, parent volunteers, and WEEFC for making the night possible. The audience then grooved to a wide variety of musical selections from the Middle School Jazz Band, High School Jazz Choir, Funky Bunch, High School Jazz Ensemble I, and High School Jazz Ensemble II. Between the jazz sets, Sam Cekala, Alex Rougeau, Nick Koutrakis, and Declan McBride kept the audience swinging with their jazzy beats.
The proceeds from the concert will fund Ernie Boch Jr’s, Music Drives Us, a program that aims to help more people study music and enrich communities through music. They provide three types of grants: Organizational, Musical Performance, and Scholarships.
