“Lose the Shoes” Fundraiser on June 16

June 6, 2018/in High School, School Newsletter, Student Activities /by shayj

This has been an extremely tough year for the WHS community with the passing of Christina Dangond and Ash Baird. Recognizing this, the officers of the Class of 2019 have decided to pull together an end-of-the-year fundraiser for Dana Farber and Build the Faith Foundation. Since soccer was a huge part of Ash’s life and is a big part of David Dangond’s life (Christina’s brother), the students have decided to base the fundraiser around soccer.

“Lose the Shoes” will take place on June 16th, the weekend between the two weeks of June Academy. The idea is to play a non-competitive 3v3 soccer game in your socks, hence “lose the shoes”. Please encourage all high school students to participate – it should be a lot of fun.

In order to make this day a success, we need your help. Below is a signup genius for some food items, gift certificates and opportunities to volunteer. If you would like to make a donation to one of the charitable organizations for this event, please send a check to Susan Garofalo, 74 Webster Road, Weston, made out to Dana Farber Cancer Institute (or The Jimmy Fund) or Build the Faith Foundation.

Click here to sign up to volunteer or donate.

Thank you. Class of 2019 Parent and Faculty Advisors
