Weekly Reminders and Upcoming Events

Dear WHS Families,

It is a busy time of year! Here are several important reminders and announcements to be aware of:

WHS School Council: Candidate Statement Deadline (Friday, September 29) It’s not too late! Serving on School Council is a terrific and easy way to get involved at WHS. To learn more about the process click here: School Council

WEEFC Auction Open for Bidding!Families, we hope you’re as excited as we are about WEEFC’s upcoming fall fundraiser! The auction is now open for bidding, and we wanted to draw your attention to several fun opportunities geared towards WHS students:

Interested in going in on a package with friends? Choose one person from your group to do the bidding. Once you’ve been declared the winning bidder, let a WEEFC representative know, and we will divide the cost amongst your group.

Back-to-School Night (October 5)Back-to-School Night is on Thursday, October 5, from 7-9pm. Weston High School welcomes all parents of students grades 9-12 for an information-filled evening. This is an excellent opportunity to meet your student’s teachers and staff members, and navigate the same hallways your children walk through everyday. This is also a fantastic way to say hello to Principal Peri and Assistant Principal Bairstow. Stay tuned for more details.

Principal’s Coffee (October 10)
Come join us for our next Principal’s Coffee on Tuesday, October 10th at 9am in the HS Auditorium. We hope you will join us in person, but all coffees are recorded by Weston Media and made available for viewing. If you missed the most recent coffee on September 19th, you can view it here: Coffee
Pumpkin Fest: Volunteers Needed (October 14)
Every year, the Weston High School student body comes together for Pumpkin Fest and volunteers for the benefit of Camp Sunshine, a nonprofit organization supporting terminally-ill children and their families. The event committee is looking for parent volunteers to help grill the food items. Pumpkin Fest is on Saturday, October 14 from 11 AM-2 PM on the town green. If you are able to lend your time for a great cause please sign up here.
WHS Haunted Dollhouse (October 28)
Walk through the hallways of Weston High School’s Haunted Dollhouse – if you dare! – Saturday, October 28, from 6-8pm at WHS. Plenty of scares will be had! There will also be a child-friendly area with games and activities, plus a taco and Chick-fil-A food truck! Follow the fun on Instagram @WHSHAUNTED 
All proceeds to benefit the class of 2026. More details to come!
WHS Guidance and Counseling Department Publication: Post-Secondary Planning Guide
The Weston High School Guidance and Counseling Department is pleased to introduce this Post-Secondary Planning Guide to assist our students and parents/guardians in planning for life after high school. It is a consolidation of information that can be used throughout high school during the post-secondary planning journey, including links to outside resources. Postsecondary Planning Guide as a translatable Google doc.
