Class of 2028 Screenings Week of February 4th
Dear Families and Guardians,
Annual SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) screenings for students per Massachusetts state requirements will begin the week of February 4th.
SBIRT is an evidence-based screening to promote prevention and early identification of risk for substance use in adolescents. During the week of February 4th, school counselors and student support staff will provide an interview-based screening (CRAFFT-N) for all ninth grade students. Student screenings will be confidential, brief (approximately 5 minutes), and conducted in private with a school counselor.
EXEMPTIONS: If you would request your child be exempted from the above screening, please submit an email to Michelle Rizza, RN or myself.
