The Academic Support Center provides a supportive learning environment where all students can access tutoring and academic support. Universal supports and services are available to all students and may include tutoring, access to learning resources, executive function skill development, and content based support designed to promote successful engagement with the curriculum. Students can visit the ASC on an as-needed basis during study halls or free blocks. Students requiring regular ongoing support may be referred to the ASC by classroom teachers and counselors.
In addition, the center coordinates Tier 2 targeted supports and interventions for students who benefit from supplemental instruction and structured academic assistance beyond universal classroom supports. Tier 2 services may include progress monitoring, small-group intervention, targeted skill development, executive functioning support, and regular check-ins with teachers, counselors, and other student support staff. Interventions are responsive to individual student needs and designed to reduce barriers to learning while increasing engagement and academic outcomes. The ASC coordinator actively collaborates with teachers, counselors, and support personnel to identify student needs, implement interventions, and monitor student progress.
