A Fruitful Exchange
In April 2010, nine Weston Mandarin language students and two teachers visited Luoyang High School. Students roomed in school dorms and attended classes. They also spent time with a Chinese host family for a weekend. At the end of the trip, students spent three days touring the historical city of Xian. This trip was an excellent opportunity for Weston students to practice their language skills in an authentic environment and better understand Chinese culture.Luoyang is located in western Henan Province, abutting the provincial capital of Zhengzhou.
