relayforlifeRelay For Life is a life-changing, fun-filled overnight event to raise awareness and funds for research, advocacy, education, and patient services. Teams set up campsites and take turns walking the track while enjoying music, food, entertainment, games and more! Relay serves as a celebration for cancer survivors, a memorial for loved ones lost, and a community rally to fight cancer. Survivors and their Caregivers are invited to a dinner reception and to lead the opening lap of the event. At nightfall we light a thousand paper lanterns, each one bearing the name of a loved one touched by cancer.  For more information, visit http://www.relayforlife.org/westonwaylandma

Relay for Life 2017

On behalf of the Relay For Life Leadership Committee, Savann and I would like to thank you all for your tremendous support throughout this year. Relay For Life started Friday May 19 at 6PM and ended Saturday morning May 20 at 6AM. As people walked around the track throughout the entire evening, there were also a number of games and activities. In addition, we had musical performances from our very own Weston students that simply mesmerized the crowd. Overall, the event was a huge success as we raised over $20,000!

To those who purchased a Luminaria bag, I have compiled a short slideshow just to commemorate those whom we have lost to cancer and honor those who are still fighting. I always find the Luminaria ceremony to be one of the most powerful moments of the evening, as people share their reasons why they choose to Relay. Please see the video here
