METCO BSU Fundraiser – Starting October 11, 2023, to November 17, 2023
The WESTON METCO Fundraiser that supports the Weston High School METCO Student Activities Group is beginning. This year the BSU (Black Student Union) has decided to try a different vendor – Meadow Farms. They offer a variety of things from candles to candy to Stonewall Kitchen items. 100% of the proceeds raised go to help support and assist the High School METCO students. In the past with other fundraisers, we have been able to assist with field trips and AP exam fees as well as host METCO student celebrations and community building events. We would love to expand our efforts and include supporting our Global Student Travel Funds, which offers scholarships to assist METCO Student participation in educational travel opportunities. Your orders will help make this possible.
For your convenience we are accepting online orders that will be shipped directly to your home. Just click the link below to log on to our group Meadow Farms Fundraising. We will be accepting orders until November 17, 2023. If you have any questions please contact Nancy Fournier at 781-786-5851 or fourneirn@weston.org

About Weston METCO
Since 1967, Weston has participated in METCO, (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity), a voluntary, desegregation, program which brings approximately 167 students, grades K-12, from Boston to Weston’s schools.
The Weston METCO program supported students through this past year of immense challenges. Our students are still working hard to achieve the academic goals that parents and the program have developed for them. Our METCO Academic Liaisons are working with our Boston students supporting them in their pursuit of academic and lifelong success.
Elementary students in Kindergarten through grade three are working under the guidance of Riola Lazo, METCO Liaison (Country and Woodland Schools). At Field School, Weston METCO Director and Elementary Liaison, Theresa Dryden is working directly with our fourth and fifth grade students. Cyril Kakulu is the METCO Liaison at the Middle School, and he works with our sixth, seventh and eighth graders. The High School Liaison Tanaja Jordan, works with students in grades nine through twelve.
The Boston Weston METCO Parent Organization (BWMPO), the Family Friends program, and the Community Coordinating Committee (CCC) are examples of the diverse groups of students, parents, teachers, administrators and members of the Boston and Weston communities who are working together to make our METCO program the best ever!
