Weston METCO Family Friends Program is an organization made up of Boston and Weston families who share a commitment to maximizing the connections between the two community through a variety of events and activities. Through family friend get-togethers, kindergarten luncheon, Family Friends Potluck and other events; the organization seeks to build upon the organically formed relationships between Boston and Weston resident families.
Pairings of the students (Boston and Weston) take place in kindergarten and are reassessed throughout a students time in Weston Public Schools. This relationship not only provides Boston children (and their families) with the security of having a Weston “home away from home,” but it also offers families from both communities the opportunity to share their urban and suburban experiences. It is definitely meant to be a two-way exchange and we hope that the Weston families are open to learning more about the Boston community as well.
