Thanks to the generosity of WEEFC, this year Weston Middle School is starting a new program, Sources of Strength. The program’s goals are to celebrate the personal strengths of our community members and encourage help-seeking during times of struggle. The messages are disseminated through student planned campaigns. The students who are part of the program are from grade 7 and 8 and were identified at the end of the last school year by their peers as having some sway within their peer group. The students received an all-day training today by a National Trainer from Sources and are excited to start their work. Please click on the embedded link to learn more about the program and the research supporting its effectiveness. Questions, please feel free to reach out to Carrie Rainville-Collins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
