Seeking WMS Class of 2028 Class Parents

We are looking for Class Parents (formerly named Parent Advisors for the Class of 2028. If you are looking to be involved at the high school level, please consider this important volunteer opportunity. Wondering about the Class Parent responsibilities?

  • Class parents will serve one year at a time with the opportunity to continue in the role if mutually agreed upon by class parent, Faculty Advisors, Director of Student Activities, Principal and school chairs.
  • Class parents serve as liaisons between Faculty Advisors (on behalf of the student leaders) and the parents and guardians of the grade they are representing. Class parents promote involvement of the entire grade in class events, projects, fundraisers by communicating with Faculty Advisors, parents and guardians.
  • Class Parents foster community involvement by recruiting parents and guardians to assist with chaperoning class events and engaging in volunteer work.
  • Class Parents meet regularly with Faculty Advisors as well as attend monthly PTO Class Parent meetings (before school) with all HS Class Parents, the Director of Student Activities and HS PTO Chairs in an effort to maintain an updated record of class events/fundraisers.
  • Class Parents are asked to communicate regularly with Faculty Advisors to discuss student/ parent concerns and issues surrounding class events, projects and fundraisers.
  • Class Parents serve as chaperones at class events as needed, along with Faculty Advisors, other faculty chaperones and event chairs.
