Taste Test Thursday

Students enjoyed trying different pizzas last month for Taste Test Day.  We sampled two different types and the winning pizza is featured on the March menu.  Thank you to third-grade students in Ms. Gerson’s class at Country School for helping with the taste test and for analyzing the data collected.  The Taste Test Tuesday program is currently on hiatus as I will be leaving my position as Nutrition Analyst and Farm to School Coordinator for Weston Public Schools in March.  I have enjoyed creating new food experiences for students and am so impressed with their continued willingness to try new things.  Thank you for your support of this program.  Please direct all school nutrition questions to Tess Sousa, School Nutrition Director.

Pizza is a hot topic and many students have strong opinions.  On February 14th students will have a chance to sample several new types of pizza and vote for their favorite!  We will have students analyze the data and determine which type of pizza is preferred.  This will directly influence the menu in the upcoming months.  As always, ingredient information is available prior to service by contacting WPS Nutrition Analyst and Farm to School Coordinator Kelly Shaw.
