Woodland PTO Update: Week of February 8th

KEY EVENTS

Creating a Ripple of Kindness…

…at Home

February is Kindness Month at Woodland and the Woodland PTO wants to help bring some of that kindness home. Have your child use the Kindness card (sent home in backpacks for in-person students or sent via email for RLA students this week) and encourage them to write a short note or draw a picture to tell a parent, grandparent, sibling or caregiver how much they appreciate their kindness in helping them learn this year!

…for Woodland Teachers and Staff

Let our Woodland teachers and staff know how kind we think they are by sharing a few words, a drawing, a picture or anything you want to share. We will be assembling all into a big Kindness Thank You note. Please submit your token of kindness here by 5PM on Wednesday, 2/10.

Also, please know we will be surprising all Woodland teachers/staff with a Kindness breakfast including coffee/cider, pastries and cookies on Friday, 2/12 and will share all the collected sentiments of kindness!

LAST DAY to Participate in the Hope Grows Project (February 8)!

Flowers can be submitted directly to classroom teachers or dropped off in the bin labeled “Hope Grows Project: Lotus Flowers” located under the overhang of the school.  Please submit all completed lotus flowers by the end of the day on February 8th.

Also, we encourage all Woodland families to display a lotus flower in their home window as a collective sign of hope and togetherness! Check out a few examples of Weston businesses and homes who are proudly displaying flowers!

2021 marks WEEFC’s 35th year of supporting enrichment programming at all Weston Public Schools. Help us celebrate this landmark year with a donation that helps fund grants that foster innovation and excellence. WEEFC supports 100% of students at a rate of approx. $100 per child each year, so our goal is 100% community participation.
