Field School Innovation Center Proposal
Dear Country and Woodland Families:
For those of you who may not know me, my name is Dan Green and I am the principal of Field Elementary School in Weston. I am writing to share the exciting news that I have submitted a proposal to WEEFC to fund a Field Innovation Center at Field School.
The goal of this center, which will be housed in a former classroom space at Field, is to provide all Field students (and your children when they enter grades 4 and 5) with opportunities to code, build, take risks, and innovate. As the proposal explains, students will have access to iPads, 3D printers, laser cutters, coding equipment, and construction materials as they engage in standards-based curriculum, new clubs, and after school opportunities. We believe that a Field Innovation Center will help to provide students with valuable 21st century skills required for global citizenship.
Below are links to our proposal and the WEEFC donation site. I look forward to sharing additional information about this exciting opportunity in early 2022. Thank you and I hope you have a happy and healthy new year.
Best regards,
Dr. Green
