Principal Candidate Forums
Dear Woodland Families,
This is a reminder that principal finalists will be visiting Woodland School and there will be parent forums both today and tomorrow. If you are able to join, this is a great opportunity to meet the finalists and share your feedback.
One candidate will visit Woodland on Tuesday, May 30th, and two candidates will visit Woodland on Wednesday, May 31st, to meet with families, faculty and staff, district leaders, and representatives from the School Committee. The schedule for the Family/Community Forums are as follows:

Woodland Principal Finalists
Shannon Dickerson is currently the Assistant Principal at Marathon Elementary School (PreK – 1st grade) in Hopkinton, MA. Prior to her role in Hopkinton, she taught kindergarten and first grade at the Williams School in Newton, MA. Shannon earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s of Education: Students with & without Disabilities from Boston College. She earned a second Master’s of Education in Administrative Leadership from Endicott College.
Shannon Barca is currently the Principal of the Parmenter School (Kindergarten – 5th grade) in Franklin, MA, where she started as the Assistant Principal. Prior to her roles in Franklin, she taught 6th grade in Westborough, MA; 4th grade in Sturbridge, MA, and she began her career as a kindergarten/1st grade teaching assistant in Wellesley, MA. Shannon earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology from WagnerCollege. She earned her Master’s of Education from Framingham State College.
Heidi Letendre is currently the Principal of John T. Nichols Jr. Middle School in Middleboro, MA., where she also served as the Principal of the Memorial Early Childhood Center (PreK – Kindergarten). Prior to her roles in Middleboro, Heidi served as the Title 1 District Coordinator in Bridgewater-raynham; Assistant Principal of the George H. Mitchell Elementary School (Prek – 3rd) in Bridgewater, MA; Assistant Principal of the Mary K. Goode School (1st – 2nd) in Middleborough; and a Third Grade Teacher at Central Elementary in East Bridgewater, MA. Heidi earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Bridgewater State University, and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Fitchburg State College. She is currently enrolled in a Doctorate Program at Northeastern University.
