Weston PTO President’s Message

We are excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to continuing the important work we do for our school community, which includes keeping parents informed and connected while enriching the education of our children. This year, we are especially eager to support our superintendent Dr. Connolly as she executes her newly defined goals for the district; to strengthen educational practices, foster students’ well being, and create a school community committed to cultural competency, trust, and mutual respect. The PTO helps contribute to the fulfillment of these objectives with relevant programming, parent volunteers’ time and resources, and other significant initiatives.

The PTO is an all-volunteer, parent-run organization serving our WPS K-12 school community. We encourage all WPS families to join/renew now for the 2018-19 school year by clicking the Join/Renew Now button below. It is never too late to get involved, so when renewing/joining, don’t forget to sign up for the many volunteer opportunities available in each of the schools. To stay informed, please check back here often, access your email every Wednesday for our PTO member-exclusive online newsletter Westword, and follow the Weston PTO on Facebook and on Twitter. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

About the Weston PTO

The Weston Public Schools Parent Teacher Organization (Weston PTO) is an all-volunteer, parent-run, non-profit organization committed to enhancing and enriching the education of our children and fostering a sense of community within our schools. We seek to keep parents connected and informed by facilitating a closer relationship between school and home and serving as the communication link between the two. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to strengthen the Weston Public Schools’ capacity to provide the highest quality education possible for all students.

Our annual budget is raised solely through membership dues. We urge all families with children attending the Weston Public Schools to join as PTO members each school year. Each membership helps augment our children’s school experience and supports our educators in fulfilling their vision.

Parent involvement is a fundamental part of what makes a school community rich and robust. We take great pride in the strength of our PTO and encourage you to learn more about our programs and get involved in any of the many volunteer opportunities that work with your interests and schedule. Please read our full Mission Statement.
