Weston PTO President’s Message

Welcome to the new Weston PTO website! We are excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to continuing the important work we do for our school community, which includes keeping parents informed and connected. Our site becoming part of the WPS site not only reflects our collaborative partnership with the schools, but will allow our members to more easily access information from the new site and tools, such as the electronic school calendar. The PTO is an all-volunteer, parent-run organization serving our WPS pre k-12 school community. We encourage all WPS families to join/renew now for the 2017-18 school year by clicking the Join/Renew Now button below. It is never too late to get involved so please when renewing/joining, don’t forget to sign up for the many volunteer opportunities available in each of the schools! To stay informed, please check back here often and follow the Weston PTO on Facebook. About the Weston PTO

The Weston Public Schools Parent Teacher Organization (Weston PTO) is an all-volunteer, parent-run, non-profit organization committed to enhancing and enriching the education of our children and fostering a sense of community within our schools. We seek to keep parents connected and informed by facilitating a closer relationship between school and home and serving as the communication link between the two. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to strengthen the Weston Public Schools’ capacity to provide the highest quality education possible for all students.

Our annual budget is raised solely through membership dues. We urge all families with children attending the Weston Public Schools to join as PTO members each school year. Each membership helps augment our children’s school experience and supports our educators in fulfilling their vision.

Parent involvement is a fundamental part of what makes a school community rich and robust. We take great pride in the strength of our PTO and encourage you to learn more about our programs and get involved in any of the many volunteer opportunities that work with your interests and schedule. Want more information or regular updates about what’s happening in the Weston schools and community?  PTO provides members with a subscription to our weekly newsletter Westword.

Westword is published each Wednesday during the school year and sent via email. Announcements must be submitted to westword@weston.org no later than 3pm on the Thursday before to be included.

PTO Thanksgiving Drive for Bristol Lodge Food Pantry & Homeless Shelters – November 1 – 22

Weston’s PTO and elementary schools are holding their annual drive for Waltham’s Bristol Lodge Food Pantry and Homeless Shelters.

Children may bring donations to the designated collection bins in the Country, Woodland, and Field Schools. Suggested items to donate: canned vegetables, stews, chilis, soups, pasta, pasta sauce, boxed juices, cereals, kid’s snacks, condiments, baby food, canned tuna, dried beans and rice. Pull top-lids preferred. All items must be non-expired. Thank you for your support!

Field School Fifth Grade Fundraiser

Show your school spirit and help us raise funds to defray the cost of Fifth Grade Celebration Day – a fun-filled day with games, swimming at the Memorial Pool, a DJ, and pizza.  The event is a memorable milestone for all the fifth graders as they graduate from elementary school. Be on the lookout for the order form in your child’s backpack soon. We hope to distribute merchandise before winter break.
