ENGLISH LANGUAGE EDUCATION (ELE) PROGRAM

The ELE Goals of the Weston Public Schools

English Language Education (ELE) provides:

  • A positive, culturally respectful environment for learning
  • Instruction for English Language Learners  to  develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
  • Sheltered English instruction in their general education classrooms to successfully access curriculum.

ELE teachers work closely with the Office of Student Services, principals, guidance counselors, classroom teachers, and other support staff to provide meaningful language and academic support to their students.
